One of my favorite things to do when inventing new cocktails is to take old classics and give them new twists. In this Kavo Pomegranate Mule I use Kavo rum and pomegranate juice to make a delicious moscow-mule style cocktail
I love how the pomegranate stands in for the traditional cranberry juice and the vodka is swapped for rum. Everything else stays the same but these simple swaps make it entirely new.
The key to a good mule, I think, is serving it with lots of ice so the mug gets nice and frosty. It should also be topped off with a lovely splash of ginger beer and garnished with a lime. I find this drink nice and refreshing, especially in the summer, so I recommend having all the ingredients ready to go when you head outside for dinner al fresco.
You’ll be very happy to have these served right up and ready to go. It’s good to sip around a firepit as well!
Cheers!
