I’ve been jumping on the trend of appetizer boards lately. In past episodes you’ll see that I shared a Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Board ( https://www.nikkiglekas.com/post/smoked-salmon-cream-cheese-board ), and a Fig, Honey & Goat Cheese Board ( https://www.nikkiglekas.com/post/fig-honey-goat-cheese-board ). They are both great recipes for boards you can make for guests, or even just a family gathering. Today’s board is a Honey Paprika Butter Board made with flavored butter and topped with pomegranate seeds and thyme.
The key to making this quickly is to have the butter very soft before you flavor it. This way it can be stirred very easily and the flavor is evenly distributed. Then, spread it on a clean board and top it with the pomegranate seeds and thyme.
I serve this with baguette slices and let people dip or spread it on their bread as they like.
I recommend serving this as an element on a grazing table, or before a meal. It’s a unique way to serve a tasty treat for the holiday season!
Honey + Paprika Butter Board
This trend has been a lot of fun to watch take off. My guests have really enjoyed all the interesting board recipes I’ve been serving lately. This one has great flavor and some nice holiday colors with the pomegranate seeds and fresh thyme. Serve it with sliced baguette and crackers for a fun appetizer.
Makes 10 to 12 servings
2 sticks of softened butter
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp honey
Pomegranate Seeds
Fresh Thyme
Sliced baguette for serving
Whisk the butter, paprika, and honey together until completely blended. Spread it on a clean wooden board.
Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds and fresh thyme on top of the butter.
Serve with fresh baguette slices.
