Homemade cranberry sauce - so easy and a must for my thanksgiving spread! š¦š½š
Ingredients
one package of fresh cranberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
Zest and juice of one orange
1/4 tsp nutmeg
In a medium saucepan add your water, sugar and cinnamon stick and bring to a simmer.
Once all of the sugar is dissolved, add your cranberries and cook for about 10 minutes or until most of them have burst.
Add your orange zest, juice, and nutmeg and continue to cook for two minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
